BUKIT JALIL, 21 JUNE 2022 – Embrace and practice sustainability and eco-consciousness this month at Pavilion Bukit Jalil. Shoppers can explore exciting eco-friendly demonstrations, workshops and exhibitions await shoppers with Malaysian Creative Sewing Arts Association (PSJKM) ‘Back To Nature’ program from now until 26 June, as well as plenty of sustainable and eco-friendly shopping at Pavilion Bukit Jalil.

In her speech,  Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Binti Almarhum Al-Mutawakkil Alallah Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj expressed concern over the global environmental crisis and called on all Malaysians to make small changes to protect the environment. She also urged the public to consider the effects of climate change and keep in mind that the next generation will inhabit the world we leave behind.

Tunku Azizah, patron of PSJKM, hopes that the Back To Nature program will rekindle the public’s love of nature and promote a sense of eco-consciousness among Malaysians. From now until June 26 at Level 2, Orange Zone, shoppers can:

  • Watch Eco-Printing’s demonstration at 12 pm, 3 pm, and 6 pm daily.
  • Learn how to extract colours from natural sources in the Natural Dye-ing Workshop.
  • DIY Indigo and Drawing workshop with the purchase of a T-shirt or Tote + Indigo Kit for RM45 or RM39 respectively.
  • Shop for handicrafts at the Tunku Azizah Handmade Market, which features more than 50 local handicraft stands.

INCREASED DEMAND FOR SUSTAINABLE SHOPPING
