Sales assistant wins Thermomix in ‘MR D.I.Y x P&G Beli & Menang’ contest

KUALA LUMPUR, 8 Feb 2022 — It’s a brand new Thermomix TM6 for ‘MR. D.I.Y. x P&G Beli & Menang’ contest winner Nurul Salmie Hanafi! 

The 29-year old sales assistant from Pantai Dalam, Kuala Lumpur won the smart cooker in a joint contest organised by Malaysia’s favourite home improvement retailer MR. D.I.Y. and consumer goods company Procter & Gamble Sdn Bhd (P&G). 

Commenting on her triumph Nurul Salmie said, ‘I’ve participated in this contest a few times, but this is my first time winning. It’s my dream to own a Thermomix and I look forward to cooking amazing dishes for my family with it. At the moment, the prize is still sealed in the box – I can’t wait to get started!”

Announcing the winners, MR D.I.Y. Group Head of Marketing Alex Goh, said, “As a homegrown retailer, we continuously look for new ways to excite and reward our customers. This is the fourth time we partnered with P&G to stage this ‘Beli & Menang’ contest; each time with bigger and better prizes. We look forward to many more.”

The contest saw more than 500 lucky customers walk away with prizes worth over RM80,000. 

Three 2nd prize winners won an iPhone 13 Pro each, while the three 3rd prize winners each received a 55-inch 4K Ultra HD smart television. Three 4th prize winners took home a TTRacing SWIFT Gaming Chair each, while another 500 lucky shoppers were each awarded consolation prizes of RM100 in cash vouchers to shop for their favourite items at MR D.I.Y. and MR. DOLLAR stores.

The fourth edition of the ‘MR D.I.Y. x P&G Beli & Menang’ contest ran nationwide from 1 – 31 October 2021, for both in-store and online customers.  The 5th edition of the  ‘MR D.I.Y x P&G Beli & Menang’ contest is currently running, from 15 January to 28 February 2022.

In addition to keeping to their promise of “Always Low Prices”, the retailer has also committed to a nationwide “Price Lock: Harga Kami Tetap Sama” initiative.  Under this initiative, the retailer has committed to not raising prices of all products across its three brands – MR. D.I.Y., MR. TOY and MR. DOLLAR – until 31 March 2022.
