Kuala Lumpur, April 7, 2025 – Driven by a commitment to easing the burden of those in need and caring for the marginalised communities, YAYASAN MR D.I.Y. collaborated with Food4u to distribute food packs to the homeless at two locations in Kuala Lumpur.
This programme is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative in line with the “Raya Penuh Makna” campaign by Malaysians’ favorite home improvement retailer MR D.I.Y. for 2025, which aims to strengthen ties, share joy and create meaningful memories. The focus of this initiative is to lend a helping hand to the homeless community, who struggle daily to access adequate, nutritious food.
The food distribution was conducted on March 25, 2025, at the Medan Tuanku Homeless Service Centre, and on March 27, 2025, at Jalan Sayur, Pudu. A total of 600 food packs, which consisted of biryani rice, cream biscuits, bread and mineral water, were prepared and distributed.
Food4u representative Mr Tony said, “We would like to express our deepest gratitude to YAYASAN MR D.I.Y. for their collaboration in assisting the needy. We hope that this effort will not only alleviate their burden, but also inspire more parties to come forward to help the less fortunate.”
This food donation initiative not only reflected the commitment of both parties in providing aid to those in need, but also aimed at increasing the society’s awareness of the importance of sharing “rezeki” (sustenance), fostering humanity and caring for the less fortunate regardless of religious or racial background.
YAYASAN MR D.I.Y. welcomes more parties to get involved and join hands to help the communities in need. With awareness and cooperation, a greater and more comprehensive change is possible.
