Gen which signifies “ground roots” in Chinese, refers to Chef Johnson’s philosophy and ethos of utilising the diverse, natural ingredients across Malaysia. Focusing on using the freshest and often, seasonal ingredients, Chef Johnson strives to create memorable food experiences drawing inspiration from traditional Malaysian flavours to exemplify the bold flavours purely from the ingredient.
