Kuching, 4 February 2025 – IKEA Malaysia today announces the launch of an upcoming dedicated e-commerce platform for Sabah and Sarawak, providing customers in the region with a more convenient, accessible way to shop for their favourite IKEA products. The new online store will provide East Malaysians access to best-selling IKEA products at the same affordable prices as in Peninsular Malaysia and with significantly faster delivery.
This is made possible with the new Central Fulfillment Centre in Kuching which enables reduction in delivery time by supporting the packing, assembly and deliveries of IKEA product orders placed through the new online store.
The new e-commerce platform reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to accessibility by ensuring that more Malaysians can enjoy comfort and functionality that IKEA offers more conveniently and at affordable prices, while further strengthening the IKEA footprint in East Malaysia.
According to Malcolm Pruys, Country Retail Director of IKEA Malaysia, the new online store aligns with the IKEA omnichannel strategy to bring the brand closer to even more Malaysians through various online and offline touchpoints.
