Petaling Jaya, 9 September 2021 – The amazing performance by our Para-athletes at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games in the midst of the exhausting pandemic has inspired the nation. Their strength and sheer determination made Malaysia cheer with pride and gratitude and reminded us of the hope that is always there when we all unite and keep striving to be better. To recognise their achievements, Grab Malaysia is honoured to give them a small token of appreciation.
Grab Malaysia is deeply humbled to present to Bonnie Bunyau Gustin, Cheah Liek Hou and Abdul Latif Romly who won the gold medal in powerlifting, badminton and long jump respectively, with 1 million GrabRewards points and one year worth of free GrabFood orders as a token of gratitude. For Jong Yee Khie and Chew Wei Lun who bagged home the silver medals in powerlifting and boccia respectively, will be rewarded with 500,000 GrabRewards points and one year worth of free GrabFood orders. Additionally, Grab will also give a token of appreciation to all the Malaysian Paralympic athletes for their participation and the Malaysian contingent who were there to support them.
As a special token of honour, we will be rewarding Muhammad Ziyad Zolkefli, our shot put athelete with also one year worth of free GrabFood orders in addition to 50,000 GrabReward points. He is honoured for his sensational performance and sportsmanship, and the nation is proud of his achievements.

The Paralympic Council of Malaysia continues to support para-athletes as they push their limits and achieve their dreams.
