17 June 2026, Wednesday, Singapore – Following the rollout of his upcoming album Numbers Game, Singaporean singer-songwriter DEON returns with “Feel The Same”, a cinematic, emotionally restrained collaboration with alternative R&B artist Don Aaron, set for release on 26 June 2026 (Friday). As the album’s third single, it is a further exploration of identity, expectation, and the divide between lived experience and measured reality.
Rooted in motifs of acceptance and quiet resignation, “Feel The Same” traces the subtle unravelling of a relationship that has quietly reached its end, where lingering emotions remain but both sides arrive at the unavoidable truth that what has been lost cannot be restored.
Built as an indie-cinematic downtempo piece, the track’s dark, atmospheric sonic palette is shaped by spacious, slow-burning production and cinematic aesthetics, reminiscent of London Grammar and Kodaline. Featuring Don Aaron, the song also introduces a complementary perspective that deepens its emotional architecture. Contrasting DEON’s introspective indie-pop sensibilities with Don Aaron’s alternative R&B and soul-infused delivery, the collaboration reinforces the theme of duality that runs throughout both the song and the wider album.

Lyrics:
Verse 1:
Little signs, spilling tales and traces,
Of fickle minds, they whisper
Endless words, that we can’t express,
A notion of the way we speak
Verse 2:
We both assume
That we can’t defend our existence
An empty shell of what it used to be
A space that’s cold and deep
Chorus:
Can’t all feel the same
After all it’s just a game
And I surrender, I surrender
We can see us change
It can never be the same
I surrender, I surrender
And I moving on
Losing all this time
I’m done
And we’re moving on
Losing all this ground
I’m gone
BIOGRAPHIES
DEON is a Singaporean singer-songwriter known for blending earnest melodies with evocative lyricism, steadily building an enduring catalogue of heartfelt songs. Rooted in indie-pop sensibilities, his music serves as a vessel for documenting life’s chapters — fluid, introspective, and emotionally grounded. Influenced by artists such as Ásgeir, Rachael Yamagata, Tom Hardy (Tommy No. 1), and Chris Martin, DEON transitioned from drummer to singer-songwriter in late 2011.
Since then, he has released three full-length albums—Antiphobic (2014), Oceans (2015), and eulogia; eulogy (2019)—alongside multiple EPs including Oceans Remix (2016), prologue; eulogia (2020), and Melancholic Pop (2020). His collaborative refreshed rendition of “Fix” with Japan’s soul-pop artist Shohey Uemura (THREE1989) further highlighted his versatility and cross-border reach. With Fool Me Twice, DEON opens the door to Numbers Game, an album that promises to chronicle growth, vulnerability, and the quiet truths that shape us over time.
