The company donates RM400,000 to support basic food supplies for over 3600
families and individuals
KUALA LUMPUR, 9 September 2021 – The COVID-19 pandemic has evolved into an unprecedented and multi-faceted crisis affecting not only public health, but also socio-economic well-being. Lockdown measures and disruptions in Malaysia’s key markets have severely impacted the local economy. Many have lost their jobs and livelihoods as a result, and are currently experiencing hardship and poverty.
In light of this, Coway Malaysia has donated a total of RM400,000 to MERCY Malaysia’s Food Aid Programme, which seeks to deliver basic food supplies to vulnerable communities that have been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and the constant lockdowns.

This corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative is part of the company’s commitment to stand alongside Malaysians in the fight against the challenges brought on by the pandemic. As The Best Life Solution Company, Coway Malaysia aims to provide solutions that actively change lives. By collaborating with trusted organisations such as MERCY Malaysia, the company seeks to directly impact communities in need.
The contribution will fund 3,600 food packs, benefiting vulnerable groups across the country, including urban and rural B40 families; families of B40 frontliners; the disabled; refugee populations; as well as shelter homes. Each food pack comprises essential food items including rice, cooking oil, sardines, malt drinks, and flour.
