Alamanda Shopping Centre is bringing back its highly anticipated VIKids Carnival from 20 May to 7 June 2026, timed with the mid-term school holidays and designed for VIKids members and families looking for a lively school-break outing.
The 19-day campaign turns Alamanda’s Centre Court into a retro-futuristic carnival inspired by the vibrant aesthetics of the 1980s neon era. Visitors can expect a black-and-white checkered floor, glowing neon props, nostalgic icons such as cassette tapes, boomboxes and palm trees, plus a line-up of games and creative activities.
Retro Carnival Fun At Alamanda
Alamanda says the carnival reflects its role as a community-centric mall, with a focus on safe, healthy fun and meaningful engagement for the whole family. The annual event brings parents and children together through activities that encourage active interaction and shared holiday memories.
The setup includes four booths hosting traditional funfair games, arcade zones and arts and crafts workshops that are open to the public.
To build up the festive atmosphere, the carnival will also feature weekend performances every Saturday and Sunday. Families can look forward to three daily spectacles, including high-energy Neon Dance numbers, magic shows and balloonist clown acts.
Rewards For VIKids Members
Under Alamanda’s Shoppers Rewards Programme, existing VIKids members who spend RM300 and above in up to two receipts at any specialty store can redeem two complimentary Carnival Passes.
Non-members can also enjoy the perks with a spend of RM500 and above in up to two receipts. Each Carnival Pass unlocks access to selected games and activities on a complimentary basis.
Mesra Mall Adds Stationery-Themed Workshops
Meanwhile, Mesra Mall Kemaman is hosting its own edition of the VIKids Carnival from 22 to 26 May 2026, offering a hands-on school holiday experience built around a stationery theme.
The event features an interactive photo opportunity with a giant selfie frame decorated with stationery designs. Children under 12 can also take part in daily DIY craft workshops from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, where they can design school timetables, stationery holders, pencil toppers and custom bookmarks.
For Mesra Mall’s Shoppers Rewards Programme, a single-receipt purchase of RM50 and above at any specialty store entitles VIKids members to two complimentary workshop entry tickets. New VIKids member registrations with a minimum spend of RM100 in a single receipt will receive two workshop tickets and a Stationery Set Goodie Bag for the first 300 sign-ups.
