Gen which signifies “ground roots” in Chinese, refers to Chef Johnson’s philosophy and ethos of utilising the diverse, natural ingredients across Malaysia. Focusing on using the freshest and often, seasonal ingredients, Chef Johnson strives to create memorable food experiences drawing inspiration from traditional Malaysian flavours to exemplify the bold flavours purely from the ingredient.

With his vast experience, he aims to elevate the presence of the Mandarin Grill with his talent of tantalising the taste buds and uplifting the dining experiences.
