Hypergear #GoHyper Splash Dash for #KeluargaMalaysia
Due to recent circumstances and improvement of the pandemic situation, more Malaysians are finally more comfortable and have started to explore the great outdoors to stay active, even allowing their kids to catch up and explore the wonders of nature.
On 25th September 2022, 4,000 Malaysians had joined the first-ever #GoHyper event at MAEPS Serdang, Selangor.
Set in one of the most scenic family fun adventure parks, The #GoHyper event was one of the most family-oriented and uniting event ever as participants even as young as 3 years old and above had participated in this 5km Fun Run. Not only that, this ‘Splash Dash Edition’ event was a fun-filled wet and wild splash event aimed to encourage runners to ‘Break the Boundaries’ and run worry-free even in the wettest conditions. Promoting light-hearted family fun, runners ran through a series of fun water obstacles that also had doubled up as good photo-ops for treasured memories. Additionally, after the run, participants were delighted with the thrills of water warzones and special game booths at the carnival area to continue the splashing good fun.
Managing Director of Hypergear Malaysia Jack Lee expressed his excitement to see that 4,000 Malaysians had joined the event. He expressed that there would be more exciting events including hiking, diving and more in the future to promote fitness and health awareness within the community.
In conjunction with National and Malaysia Day, part of the proceeds from the event was contributed to Team #KeluargaMalaysia to support their expenses for their expedition to Antarctica. Hypergear Malaysia had announced during the opening that they support this meaningful cause as Team #KeluargaMalaysia would be the first uniting trio to scale Vinson Massif, which is the highest mountain in Antarctica.
Through their expedition, the trio wish to raise awareness on the impact of global warming. As such, the trio would be utilising snow sleds, to navigate their journey sustainably. They wished to call upon the public to take as much precaution as possible to reduce the carbon footprint and consider planting a plant annually to repopulate the earth with greens to reduce the effects of global warming. Days leading up to their expedition, the 3 sportsmen Ravi Everest, Abang Polar, Son of the Sun (Tom Ng), would go through rigorous sustainable training that challenges their endurance, physique, mind and soul.
He added that he was thrilled to see the formation of this group as it would be meaningful for fellow Malaysians to look upon for a more active and uniting nation while acknowledging. The passion of the trio assembling with one united vision to conquer Antarctica in the most sustainable manner is not only exciting and challenging but also worth commending and recognising.
“Here at Hypergear, we pledge to support Team #KeluargaMalaysia as we wish to see the future generations continue to carry the torch for a healthier and more connecting community. Hypergear too is built and sustained on the foundation of encouraging society to “Get Out There” and take on more adventures without limitations or doubts. With this principle, we are delighted to sponsor the trio and support the cause.” said Jack.
Jack also announced that not only Team #KeluargaMalaysia, Hypergear recently also had collaborated and partnered with MAD Dodgeball National Team who had just returned from their Canada World Dodgeball Tournament and our Malaysian Freestyle Footballer, ZeemAhmad and many other outdoor enthusiasts to encourage Malaysians together to get out there!
