100% of Project Profits Donated to International Aid Groups,
with Over US$2.4 million Contributed So Far to Peace Activities
July 4, 2023, Kuala Lumpur – Global apparel retailer UNIQLO today announces the worldwide release of four new designs for its ongoing PEACE FOR ALL charity T-shirt project. The latest collection features new graphics designed by collaborators including photographer Daido Moriyama, Marni Creative Director Francesco Risso, artist Julian Opie, and UNIQLO LifeWear Ambassador Haruka Ayase.
UNIQLO launched PEACE FOR ALL on June 17, 2022, as a project to take action to contribute toward global peace. UNIQLO parent company, Fast Retailing contributes 100% of profits from the sale of these T-shirts (equivalent to 20% of the selling price) to three international aid organizations providing humanitarian assistance to people impacted by poverty, discrimination, violence, and conflict. Donations are made equally to UNHCR the UN Refugee Agency, Save the Children, and Plan International, through their respective representatives in Japan.
To date, the PEACE FOR ALL T-shirts have featured designs by 29 world-renowned figures who share UNIQLO’s vision of peace including architect Tadao Ando, novelist Haruki Murakami, tennis legend Roger Federer, and artist KAWS. As of the end of February 2023, a total of 1,073,687 T-shirts have been sold as part of the PEACE FOR ALL project, raising ¥322,106,100 (or more than US $2.4 million). These donations have directed towards the international aid organizations, supporting projects that provide assistance to individuals affected by conflict and disasters in various locations, including Ukraine, Sudan, Vietnam, and Bangladesh.
Koji Yanai, Group Senior Executive Officer of UNIQLO parent company, Fast Retailing, said: “We started this project in June 2022 because we believe that UNIQLO LifeWear has the ‘Power of Clothing’ to protect people, color their lives, and enrich society. I am extremely pleased and deeply grateful for the support we have received from so many people, and the large amount of donations we have been able to make. We hope to continue to grow the circle of collaborators as we expand this project.”

Messages from Donation Recipients
UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency https://www.unhcr.org/
We would like to thank once again all those who supported the PEACE FOR ALL project. This year many people are in need of UNHCR’s help due to ongoing conflicts in places such as Ukraine and Sudan and following the Cyclone in Bangladesh. In such global situation, it is very encouraging to see people wearing PEACE FOR ALL T-shirts, and to know that many stand “#WithRefugees”.
Save the Children https://www.savethechildren.net/
We would like to thank everyone who supported the PEACE FOR ALL project. Each T-shirt sold supports children affected by conflicts and emergencies around the world, such as Ukraine and the hunger crisis. Proceeds provide children and families with food, clean water, cash assistance, mental health and psychosocial support, and safe spaces where children can play and learn. By wearing these T-shirts, you’re helping to create a more peaceful world for children everywhere. |
Plan Internationall https://plan-international.org/
To everyone involved in PEACE FOR ALL, and everyone who picked up a T-shirt, thank you very much. Donations from the project are used to support girls in ethnic minority communities at rural areas of Vietnam as part of our program to prevent early marriage (child marriage). Girls who receive a quality education in a safe environment, and deepen their learning, become the actors who will change society. Our aim is to make ‘All Girls Standing Strong Creating Global Change.‘ We will make full use of these precious donations in the most effective way. |
