Singapore – December 4th – Saudia, the national flag carrier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, proudly announced the inaugural direct flights between Phuket (HKT) and Jeddah (JED) and Riyadh (RUH), marking a significant milestone in strengthening connectivity between Thailand and Saudi Arabia.
The inaugural flights were celebrated with send-off ceremonies at Phuket International Airport, attended by distinguished VIPs from Saudia, Airports of Thailand, and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). The ceremonies highlighted the shared vision of enhancing travel, trade, and cultural ties between the two nations.

The new routes, which commenced on the 2nd of December 2024, offer travellers seamless connectivity to Saudia’s extensive network of destinations in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East with the following frequency:
● Phuket to Jeddah (HKT to JED): Three times per week.
● Phuket to Riyadh (HKT to RUH): Three times per week.
All Saudia flights will be serviced by state-of-the-art aircraft, ensuring passengers enjoy a world-class travel experience.
The addition of these routes is part of Saudia’s ongoing efforts to support Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia’s ambitious initiative to diversify its economy and promote tourism.
