OYO launch its luxury brand SUNDAY Hotel in Malaysia, plans 10 hotels in 2025

June 11, 2025, Kuala Lumpur: Global hospitality technology company OYO has introduced its luxury brand SUNDAY Hotles with two simultaneous openings in Kuala Lumpur and Pantai Cenang.

SUNDAY Hotel in Kuala Lumpur is located very near to The Petronas Twin Towers. Several famous attractions such as KLCC Park, Petrosains Science Discovery Centre, Menara Kuala Lumpur (KL Tower) and Jamek Mosque (Masjid Jamek) are conveniently accessible from the hotel by foot, LRT (e.g., KLCC or Bukit Nanas stations), or a short taxi/ride-hailing service.

SUNDAY Hotel in Pantai Cenang is situated in a quieter part of the city, approximately a 5-minute walk from Cenang Beach and about 10 km from Langkawi International Airport.

OYO plans to add 10 more SUNDAY Hotels in Malaysia in 2025. It has identified popular tourist regions such as Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Penang Island, Kuantan, and Kota Kinabalu for the expansion of this program.

This expansion is part of OYO’s ongoing strategy to broaden its premium property footprint worldwide, following the successful launches of SUNDAY Hotels in India, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, and Dubai.

The brand SUNDAY has been conceptualised to cater to the ever-evolving needs of the new-age travelers and provide them a perfect getaway for a reset. SUNDAY will cater to the growing demand for premium stays, combining sophisticated design, top-notch amenities and services.

The first SUNDAY hotel was launched in the globally popular heritage destination Jaipur. Today India has three SUNDAY hotels with a plan to take this count to 25 by the end of March 2025.
