A brand new ride for Ang Kuan Jian
KUALA LUMPUR, 11 OCTOBER 2023 — A man’s dream to gift a car to his girlfriend came true as he won a Perodua Ativa, the Grand Prize of MR D.I.Y.’s 18th Anniversary Spend & Win contest.
Ang Kuan Jian, 26, a business owner from Setia Alam, Shah Alam, Selangor, took home a brand new Perodua Ativa 1.0L Turbo X in the brand’s anniversary contest.
The prize was presented at the Perodua Sentral Showroom in Petaling Jaya. Commenting on his win, Ang said, “I’ve entered contests countless times but never won. It has always been a wish of mine to present my girlfriend a car. And this car model is one of the cars on my wishlist. Today, luck is on my side. It’s unbelievable and I couldn’t be more grateful! This win is for her, and we cannot wait to drive it together.”
Speaking at the event, MR D.I.Y. Group Head of Marketing, Alex Goh, said, “Periodic contests and promotions are one of the exciting ways we provide additional value to our customers. With this simple ‘Spend & Win’ contest, we have been able to attract participants from all over Malaysia. MR D.I.Y.’s 18th Anniversary ‘Spend & Win contest saw 186 lucky customers walk away with prizes worth more than a total of RM77,000. In a first for the brand, it also gave away limited edition MR D.I.Y. 5g gold bars to five Second Prize winners, while 180 other winners walked away with RM30 MR D.I.Y. cash vouchers as consolation prizes.
MR D.I.Y.’s 18th Anniversary ‘Spend & Win’ contest ran from 1-31 July 2023 at all MR D.I.Y. stores nationwide. All customers had to do was spend a minimum of RM40 in a single receipt at a MR D.I.Y. store, scan the contest QR code, and answer one simple question to submit an entry.
