KUALA LUMPUR, 23 May 2024 — Calling all aspiring lyricists and music enthusiasts, this is your moment to shine. Malaysians’ favorite home improvement retailer, MR D.I.Y. Group [M] Berhad [MR D.I.Y.], is inviting talented individuals to showcase their lyrical creativity in the ‘Merdeka Lyrics Competition,’ themed ‘Bersama Satu Suara.’
To celebrate Malaysia’s independence in a unique and exciting way, MR D.I.Y. has teamed up with local singers Jaclyn Victor, Alif Satar, Alif Satar & The Locos, and Priscilla Abby for an unforgettable collaboration. These celebrities will sing a song featuring the winning lyrics from the participants.
MR D.I.Y.’s ‘MERDEKA Lyrics Competition’ offers prizes worth RM20,000 to nine winners. The grand prize winner will receive RM10,000 in cash, the first prize winner will win RM5,000 in cash, and the second prize winner will receive RM2,000 in cash. Additionally, six consolation prize winners will each receive RM500 in cash.
