The Spirit of Budō: The History of Japan’s Martial Arts

KUALA LUMPURThe travelling exhibition “The Spirit of Budō: The History of Japan’s Martial Arts” organised by the Japan Foundation will be returning and showcased in Malaysia for the second time.

Highlighting unique exhibits of the history of Budō (Japan’s Martial Arts), the exhibition of “The Spirit of Budō: The History of Japan’s Martial Arts”, co-organised by Terengganu State Museum is going to happen from 20 July to 22 August 2020. This exhibition offers a close-up look at various historical weapons such as bows and arrows, helmets and suits of armors including many more. Through this exhibition, viewers will travel back to the history of Japanese martial arts which emphasis battlefield combat techniques (bujutsu) to popular sports or physical exercise tempering body and spirit (budō) in contemporary Japanese society.
