CELEBRATE THE YEAR OF THE DRAGON IN LUXURY

Usher in the Year of the Wood Dragon at the award-winning Lai Po Heen this Lunar New Year 2024

From 28 January to 24 February 2024, Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur presents a line-up of season-inspired dining that elevate the New Year experience including an enticing array of yee sang selections and festive menus.

Lai Po Heen offers diners a selection of six enticing yee sang, namely MO Signature Yee Sang served with all the traditional ingredients with specialty Australian Lobster and Caviar. All yee sang are available during lunch and dinner and are priced from RM168 to RM260 for half portion and RM328 to RM520 for full portion while the MO Signature Yee Sang is priced at RM888 for full portion, exclusive of prevailing taxes. For those looking to celebrate in the comfort of their own home, these creations are also available for takeaway at The Mandarin Cake Shop or opt for delivery option through purchase from our Online Shop.

At the same time, there are also five exquisite set menus available at Lai Po Heen namely Seasons Peace, Wealth, Prosperity, Fortune, and an additional Vegan menu that are priced at RM 988, RM 768, RM 588, RM 468 per person and RM 228 per person respectively and are exclusive of prevailing taxes. The Prosperity, and Fortune menus require a minimum of four diners, while Seasons Peace and Wealth menu requires a minimum of two diners, and each dish will be served individually plated, with exception to the yee sang, which will be served family style.

 

SEASONS PEACE SET MENU

  • Seasons yee sang with crispy shredded treasures and blackcurrant dressing
  • Double-boiled black chicken soup with dendrobium and dendrobium orchid
  • Braised South Africa five-head abalone with Kanto Sea cucumber and brown sauce
  • Oven-baked Australian baby lobster with foie gras sauce
  • Braised egg noodles with fish maw and shrimp roe
  • Double-boiled bird’s nest with almond milk tea and steamed glutinous rice cakes with gold leaves and shredded coconut

 

WEALTH SET MENU

  • Sea urchin and tobiko yee sang with crispy shredded treasures and blackcurrant dressing
  • Double-boiled black chicken soup, dendrobium and dendrobium orchid
  • Braised South African 30-head Abalone with sea cucumber, Japanese Bean curd in brown sauce
  • Deep-fried cod fillet with two kinds of mushroom
  • Steamed freshwater prawn with glutinous rice minced garlic in bamboo basket
  • Chilled creamy avocados with chocolate, steamed glutinous rice cakes with gold leaves and shredded coconut

 

PROSPERITY SET MENU

  • Abalone yee sang with crispy shredded treasures and blackcurrant dressing
  • Double-boiled fish maw with enpiko mushroom and deep seawater fish broth
  • Teochew style crispy duck
  • Crispy prawns with tropical fruit salsa, tobiko and lemon dressing
  • Japanese stir-fried scallops with asparagus and shrimp
  • Steamed omega grouper fillet with duo of mushrooms in soy sauce, spring onions and fresh coriander
  • Lotus leaf fried glutinous rice with shrimp
  • Double-boiled bird’s nest, almond milk tea with egg white
  • Chinese batter-fried glutinous rice cakes with brown sugar

 

FORTUNE SET MENU

  • Salmon yee sang with persimmon, crispy shredded treasures and blackcurrant dressing
  • Double boiled abalone soup with premium bamboo fungus
  • Brine-braised free-range chicken with aged soy sauce
  • Prawns with black truffle dressing with enpiko mushroom
  • Braised Japanese sun-dried scallops, dried oysters and fatt choy
  • Hong Kong-style steamed grouper fillet with spring onions, coriander and superior sauce
  • Fried rice with dried Japanese shrimp and foie gras
  • Chilled mango purée with bird’s nest, pomelo, sago and vanilla ice cream
  • Chinese batter-fried glutinous rice cakes with brown sugar

 

VEGAN SET MENU

  • Homemade duo vegetarian platter of crispy vegetable spring rolls and steam vegetarian dumplings
  • Double-boiled maca root vegetable soup
  • Gluten mock fish in black petter sauce
  • Stir-fried eggplant with cashew nuts in a yam basket
  • Gluten mock prawn in sweet and sour sauce
  • Braised mixed mushrooms with ginkgo nuts and baby cabbage
  • Stewed rice noodles with fresh shimeji mushroom and honey peas
  • Chilled brown sugar coral weed with red dates and longan

Dim Sum lovers rejoice as this Happiness Dim sum set menu makes a return to tantalise the tastebuds featuring steamed scallop black truffle siew mai; steam shrimp dumpling with asparagus and gold leaves; steam crab meat, shrimp, and spinach dumpling; Deep-fried soft-shell crab yam puff; Double-boiled fish maw, enpiko and fish broth; Stir-fried assorted vegetables, scallops and wild mushrooms; Lotus leaf fried glutinous rice with abalone and shrimp; Double-boiled almond milk tea with egg whites, priced at RM388, exclusive of prevailing taxes, per person with a minimum of four diners and is only available for lunch.
