TOKYO, October 14, 2025 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced today the release of its Back to the Future-inspired CA-500WEBF digital watch, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Universal Picture and Amblin Entertainment film.
Made in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences (UP&E), the new CA-500WEBF brings together a timeless Casio classic and the equally classic futuristic adventure film, Back to the Future.
The base model, the CA-500 with its distinctive calculator function, has been an enduring best seller since the 1980s. The CA-500WEBF watch face design is inspired by the film’s iconic Time Machine taillights and OUTATIME license plate. The different colors adorning the buttons evoke the time circuits used to set the Time Machine’s destination date and time.
The case back is engraved with an illustration of the flux capacitor, the iconic piece of fictional technology that makes the Time Machine work, and the buckle is engraved with the Back to the Future logo. Attention is paid to these and many other details for a collaboration that embodies the film’s themes and style.
The watch comes in special packaging designed to look like a vintage videotape, capturing the retro world of the film, making this timepiece a very special item worthy of any collection.
Casio has created a singular timepiece that brings the playful Back to the Future spirit and storyline to everyday life today, evoking memories of this masterpiece film with every passing second.
