TOKYO, August 5, 2025 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced today a collaboration with the Web3*1 metaverse gaming platform The Sandbox as part of the VIRTUAL G-SHOCK project involving the G-SHOCK brand of shock-resistant watches. In an ongoing rollout beginning September 3, game content offering experiences of the G-SHOCK worldview will be made available, along with limited-edition non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and avatars.

Driven by its Purpose — “Through the power to put wonder at hand, bring new levels of joy to lives one by one” — Casio continues to bring unprecedented new value to the world. The VIRTUAL G-SHOCK project was launched in 2023, embodying the G-SHOCK brand’s commitment to exploring the potential of shock-resistant watches. The project offers new user experiences, including new content creation and user community building, with a core focus on NFTs and the metaverse.
Now, as part of the project, G-SHOCK City — a game space offering experiences of the G-SHOCK worldview to users free of charge — will be made available on the Web3 metaverse gaming platform The Sandbox, and limited-edition NFTs will be sold. Visitors to G-SHOCK City will have opportunities to learn about G-SHOCK history in an adventure-game format and enjoy survival races based on a shock-resistance testing theme. In addition, avatars and NFT items with G-SHOCK motifs will be made available for purchase, expressing the brand’s worldview in ways possible only with Web3 technologies.
Casio will continue to create opportunities for both existing G-SHOCK fans and new users to familiarize themselves with the brand’s special appeal through new user experiences unique to the virtual realm.
