KUALA LUMPUR – The vibrant beats of anime anthems filled the air as ASCA and spira spica, the dynamic duo from SACRA MUSIC, lit up the stage during the thrilling “ASCA x spira spica from SACRA MUSIC Live Stage in Malaysia” This captivating one-night performance on 24th December marked their last live show of the year and enchanted almost 3,000 fans at Comic Fiesta 2023, Southeast Asia’s premier anime event.
Organized by the Japan Foundation, Kuala Lumpur (JFKL), in collaboration with Comic Fiesta and the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia, the concert was a resounding success, celebrating the 50th anniversary of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of H. E. Mr. Takahashi Katsuhiko, Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia, and Mr. Surya Kumar A/L Subramaniam, Senior Principal Assistant Secretary, International Relations Division (Culture), Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC).
Mikiha, the ever-smiling and cheerful leader of spira spica, expressed her joy, stating, “I am so happy!”. Both ASCA and spira spica were overwhelmed by the warm response from Malaysian fans, as it marked their debut performance in the country. ASCA, responding to the social media buzz, shared, “I have received a lot of messages from fans asking me to come to Malaysia. So, I am very happy to finally be able to realize this dream of seeing ASCA in Malaysia. As it is also on the eve of our 6th anniversary of performing, I would like to take this opportunity to turn the performance tomorrow [24th Dec] into one that’s unforgettable.”
In a special Stage Talk session at KLCC a day before the concert, ASCA and spira spica engaged with fans, sharing insights and building a closer connection. The session offered a unique opportunity for fans to pose questions to their beloved singers, compete in a game of Janken (Rock, Paper, Scissors), and receive exclusive SACRA MUSIC merchandise.The excitement doesn’t end here!
