Kuala Lumpur, 4 June 2026 — Malaysia has been selected as the first host country for Yalla Commerce, the UAE-born Global E-Commerce Summit, with the launch edition set to take place in Kuala Lumpur on 11 August 2026.
The inaugural summit will be held at Nexus, Connexion Conference & Event Centre, and is expected to gather around 1,000 attendees, including e-commerce founders, operators, investors, platform leaders, brands and ecosystem partners from Malaysia, the UAE and the wider region.
Yalla Commerce aims to establish a stronger digital trade corridor between the UAE and Malaysia, creating a platform for founders and industry leaders to discuss the biggest pressures reshaping online business — from rising operating costs and logistics challenges to AI-powered commerce and changing consumer behaviour.
Why Malaysia Was Chosen For The Launch
According to Arfa Hussain, CEO of Yalla Commerce, Malaysia was selected because of its active and promising e-commerce ecosystem in Southeast Asia, supported by ambitious founders, growing digital adoption and strong regional potential.
“By launching in Kuala Lumpur, we want to bring UAE and Malaysian industry leaders together to create meaningful cross-border conversations, unlock new opportunities and support e-commerce founders as they prepare for the next phase of growth,” Hussain said in the announcement.
What The Summit Will Cover
The summit will focus on practical business challenges faced by e-commerce founders today, including reducing operational costs through AI, improving customer acquisition as advertising costs rise, building stronger payment and logistics systems, expanding beyond local markets and preparing brands for scale and investment.
- AI-powered operations and automation
- Live commerce and marketplace growth
- Digital payments and logistics systems
- Customer acquisition and new consumer psychology
- Cross-border expansion, scaling and investment readiness
Beyond keynote sessions and panel discussions, Yalla Commerce will also feature practical workshops, business matchmaking, networking experiences and interactive brand activations designed to connect founders with potential partners, investors and ecosystem leaders.
Early Bird registration is scheduled to open on 10 June 2026, with only 300 public passes to be released for the inaugural edition. More information is available at yalla-commerce.com.
Following its Malaysia launch, Yalla Commerce plans to bring future editions to Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Dubai, building a wider regional platform for e-commerce founders to connect, learn and access new growth opportunities.
