Trip.com Group and Visa Ink Strategic Collaboration to Power Travel Experiences Across Asia Pacific

Trip.com Group has announced a strategic collaboration with Visa to power richer, more seamless travel experiences for consumers across Asia Pacific, including Malaysia.

A New Anchor Partnership for Visa Destinations

Through the Memorandum of Understanding, Trip.com Group will become a global Anchor Partner for Visa Destinations, an experience-led programme that connects cardholders to curated travel experiences shaped by culture and local insights.

The collaboration will also see both companies explore joint marketing and promotional initiatives, personalised offers, premium benefits, and deeper engagement with high-growth travel segments across the region.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Danielle Jin, Chief Marketing Officer, Asia Pacific at Visa, and Bo Sun, Chief Marketing Officer at Trip.com Group.

Travel Demand Remains Resilient Across Asia Pacific

The announcement comes amid resilient travel appetite and an increasingly digital-first travel landscape in Asia Pacific. According to Visa’s Global Travel Intentions 2026 study, 72% of respondents plan to travel within Asia in the coming months, while 73% bring credit cards or mobile wallets on their trips.

Trip.com Group’s recent travel data also showed continued growth among Malaysian travellers, with domestic hotel and attraction bookings recording three-digit year-on-year growth and outbound flights rising nearly 50% year-on-year.
