The GOOD LIST by Earth Heir spotlights more than 100 social enterprises, eco-stays, heritage tours, ethical businesses and community-rooted experiences across Malaysia.
Kuala Lumpur, 18 May 2026 – The GOOD LIST by Earth Heir was launched recently by Yang Berhormat Hannah Yeoh, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories), in conjunction with Kuala Lumpur Festival.
The national directory currently lists over 100 social enterprises, impact cafes, eco-stays, heritage tours, and volunteer experiences that operate with integrity, inclusion and social impact. Starting in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, The GOOD LIST will expand in stages to include other states across Malaysia.

Spotlighting ethical and community-rooted businesses
Curated by social enterprise Earth Heir, The GOOD LIST creates visibility for smaller, locally rooted enterprises, many of which have limited marketing budgets and mainstream exposure.
It aims to spotlight social enterprises, artisan groups, indigenous-led experiences and ethical businesses that are creating impact on the ground but are struggling to connect with travellers through traditional tourism and retail platforms.
Featured entries include eateries such as Silent Teddies Deaf Bakery and Restoran Sup Kawah Hitam Beratur, Orang Asli homestays such as Umah Temuan, and immersive experiences such as Serendah Indigenous Explorations with the Orang Asli.
Other featured organisations include EPIC Homes, Rumah Kita by Yayasan Chow Kit, transformative cloud kitchen Dapur Digital and slow fashion retailer UNPLUG.

A platform for responsible tourism
“The GOOD LIST is a timely and commendable effort that positions Malaysia as a leading travel destination that is culturally grounded, community-focused, and economically inclusive, while reinforcing Malaysia’s position as a forward-looking and responsible destination, in line with Visit Malaysia Year 2026,” said YB Hannah Yeoh.

Sasibai Kimis, Founder and Director of Earth Heir, said Malaysia is home to a rich ecosystem of businesses rooted in local culture and community impact, but many remain difficult to discover through mainstream channels.
“Our local practitioners of craftsmanship, caretakers of heritage, champions of the marginalised and protectors of nature need greater visibility and support, not just to survive but to thrive – that is why Earth Heir created The GOOD LIST, a virtual map for socially- and ethically-conscious consumers,” she said.

Purposeful choices for travellers and consumers
Beyond being a discovery platform, The GOOD LIST is designed to shift the way people think about spending, travel and impact as consumers seek deeper and more meaningful ways to engage with destinations.
From social enterprises that create dignified jobs and preserve cultural heritage, to businesses that promote low-impact adventures, community experiences and ESG tours, The GOOD LIST encourages a more responsible and authentic experience of what Malaysia has to offer.
As Malaysia enters a new era of tourism and economic development, the platform offers a vision of growth that is more inclusive, human-centred and sustainable.
