McDonald’s Spreads Joy of Prosperity Throughout Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, 7 FEBRUARY 2026 – McDonald’s Malaysia is extending its “Prosperity Kembali, Lebih Bererti” campaign with 13 vibrant Chinese New Year Open House celebrations across the nation. Embodying the heartfelt belief that true prosperity isn’t about what you have, but who you have in your life, these nationwide community gatherings invite Malaysians to share laughter, reconnect with loved ones, and embrace the festive spirit together.

From Penang to Johor and extending into East Malaysia, McDonald’s will be transforming its restaurants into bustling hubs of celebration for the surrounding community. These Open Houses serve as a testament to McDonald’s commitment to fostering meaningful connections and enriching communities.

Chin Mei Lee, Chief Marketing Officer of McDonald’s Malaysia, shared: “Chinese New Year is about reconnecting and celebrating the moments that truly matter. Through these Open Houses, we aim to create spaces for families and communities to share laughter, traditions, and togetherness. True prosperity is not measured by wealth; it is about joy, connection, and the people we share it with.”

The festive revelry commences on 7 February at McDonald’s Danau Kota Drive-Thru and simultaneously at McDonald’s Jalan Tun Perak, Seremban 2, and Mount Austin Drive-Thru, before extending to other locations. Each Open House will be brimming with festive activities, interactive games, spirited lion dances, cultural performances, and engaging interactions with McDonald’s crew and mascots. Highlighting the spirit of abundance and shared blessings, 2,000 free Prosperity Burger meals will be distributed at each event.

Extending the spirit of its “Prosperity Kembali, Lebih Bererti”, McDonald’s Malaysia continues to delight customers with the Fú-Pow, a fun surprise given with every Prosperity Burger meal purchase. Each Fú-Pow offers customers the chance to win exciting rewards, including exclusive collectible Prosperity Fú-charms, RM888 cash prizes, and 999.9 10g Gold Prosperity Burger.

These Chinese New Year Open Houses underscore McDonald’s enduring dedication to community engagement, building on similar festive celebrations held throughout the year for Hari Raya, Hari Gawai, Kaamatan, and Deepavali. McDonald’s warmly welcomes all, including orphanages and senior citizens’ homes, to partake in these heartwarming festivities.

Beyond seasonal celebrations, McDonald’s Malaysia remains a steadfast community partner, executing over 10,000 initiatives annually across its 370+ restaurants, supporting welfare homes, schools, and local programmes with inclusivity and purpose.
