KUALA LUMPUR, 2 SEPTEMBER 2025 – Eco-Shop, Malaysia’s leading ultra-affordable household retailer, invite Malaysians to make the most of the RM100 Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) incentive that was announced recently. With more than 150 participating outlets and a selection of more than 2,000 approved essentials, Eco-Shop offers a straightforward way for Malaysians to meet their daily needs. As the incentive rolls out to eligible Malaysians, Eco-Shop is ensuring that Malaysians can truly stretch the value of their aid by shopping for essential needs at any of its participating outlets nationwide.
Since the start of the year, over 150 Eco-Shop outlets have been enabled for SARA transactions, offering convenient access to Malaysians from all walks of life. This strategic collaboration with MyKasih reflects Eco-Shop’s continued commitment to support the community through both affordability and accessibility.
Jessica Ng, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Eco-Shop Malaysia, shared, “We believe that even the smallest action can go a long way when paired with the right intention. By supporting the government’s initiative through MyKasih and offering additional savings on top of the SARA aid, we hope to ease the everyday burden for Malaysians and make essential items more accessible”.
With a wide selection of over 2,000 eligible items available across its stores, Eco-Shop provides Malaysians with a practical and accessible way to make full use of their SARA incentive. From essential food staples such as canned goods, biscuits and breads, to personal hygiene products, and school supplies, the offerings cover all key necessities – making Eco-Shop a convenient destination for everyday essentials under the programme. As part of Eco-Shop’s ongoing effort to keep prices affordable, all food and beverage items are now priced at just RM2.40, making it even easier for shoppers to stretch their RM100 aid without compromising on daily needs.
Redeeming the RM100 SARA credit is simple and straightforward. Once the funds are credited to the recipient’s MyKad, shoppers can visit any participating Eco-Shop outlet, select items that fall within the approved categories, and present their MyKad at checkout. First-time users will be guided to create a six-digit PIN before completing their purchase. The transaction amount will then be deducted from their SARA balance, which can be used across multiple visits until 31 December 2025.
“Our goal has always been to make daily essentials accessible to everyone. By playing a supporting role in the SARA initiative and offering added value during this period, we hope to do our part in lifting the community and make life easier,” concluded Jessica.
