KUALA LUMPUR, 30 May 2024 — Malaysians, are you ready for ‘Bounce & Bingo 2.0’? Back by popular demand, the nation’s favourite home improvement retailer, MR D.I.Y. Group [M] Berhad [MR D.I.Y.], brings back its most awaited game tournament, ‘Bounce & Bingo’.
Now in its second edition, the competition offers even better rewards, with cash and prizes worth up to RM30,000 for the winners.
Commenting on the initiative, MR D.I.Y. Group’s Head of Marketing, Alex Goh, said, “We received an overwhelming response to the first edition of Bounce & Bingo from our customers. The game’s simple mechanics, which require only teamwork, skill, and a bit of luck, have proven to be enjoyable for everyone. In response to customer demand, we thought, why not organise it again? This national-level game tournament offers attractive cash and prizes worth up to RM30,000, including trophies, medals, and cash vouchers. The champion will receive RM10,000 cash, the first runner-up will receive RM5,000 cash, and the second runner-up will receive RM3,000 cash. Each of the top three teams will also receive medals and trophies. Additionally, thirteen consolation prize winners will receive RM500 MR D.I.Y. cash vouchers and medals each. Good news for the winners; the team with the fastest overall record will be rewarded with an RM5,000 cash prize.
To play the game, customers need to follow these simple steps:
- Step 1: Form a two-player team.
- Step 2: Take turns throwing the ping pong balls into the egg crate.
- Step 3: Aim for a Bingo. The timing will be recorded once a bingo is formed.
The first edition of the retailer’s ‘Bounce & Bingo’ witnessed a couple from Johor win the inaugural competition. Divided into two stages, Stage One of the tournament, the ‘State Championship,’ aims to find 16 finalists to represent each state and federal territory. This game, open to all, calls for participants to compete from 8 to 9 June 2024 at 100 selected MR. D.I.Y. stores. In Stage Two, the Grand Final, the 16 team finalists will compete at MR. D.I.Y. PLUS Mid Valley, Kuala Lumpur, to become the champion of the MR D.I.Y. ‘Bounce & Bingo 2.0’ Game Tournament.
In conjunction with the game tournament, the retailer is offering customers the opportunity for pre-tournament practice or training at 100 selected MR. D.I.Y. stores near them from 31 May to 7 June 2024. Interested participants may join the tournament from 7 to 9 June 2024.
